Late Again, I know. :X
Week 10: Storming the Chaos Shrine: Pt. 1
Present Warriors: Everyone except Chet and Coren
Party Level: 13
The campaign I wrote was so large that it was split into two different sessions.
It's been a little too long... but basically, the Warriors went to the past by going into the Ruined Shrine. From there, the Crystals transported them. Immediately they were attacked by Balor, whom they all rape.
As they went through-out the Shrine of of old, they fought a number of demons and tieflings. They also fought an Ahriman while fighting for the Excalibur, and Dark Bahamut for the Muramasa.
Nothing too noteworthy, although Ahriman was quite a different battle from usual. He didn't damage anyone, they had numbers appear over their heads. Each turn a character had, the number went down by 1. When it reached 0, that character died. However, the number was set to 6, thinking that it would take them awhile to kill Ahriman... in the end, only Rhadgast was killed.
Dark Bahamut also had a different mechanic. He would breath in every turn for 3 turns and would cause Mega Flare, an intense attack that hit everyone for 3d12 damage. They only ever got hit once, though. :X
The highlight of this week was that both Rhadgast and Wesker tried to climb down Dark Bahamut's throat while he had his mouth open. They didn't get too far, though, before they got trapped in his Mega Flare, shooting them out of his mouth.
Week 11: Storming the Chaos Shrine: Pt. 2
Present Warriors: Everyone except Chet
Party Level: 13
Since the session was split into two parts, nobody got any experience and gold.
Continuing on, the Warriors found two more treasures, Holy and Flare. Immediately, an Iron Giant dropped from the ceiling.
For some reason, though, the Giant wasn't as tough as I'd hopped. :<
But anyway, the Giant was also a little different, in that he actually had 25 hits before he was felled, instead of actual HP. Also, for some reason, the Iron Giant bled blood.
During this battle, though, Kvothe actually changed the Iron Giant into a Glass Giant, using his Iron to Glass technique. This made things interesting. It still bled blood.
When all 25 hits were knocked off, its legs broke. The impact of the giant thing crashing onto the ground broke the ground and revealed a ladder.
Climbing down, Wekser grabbed the Glass Giant's helmet.
There was a tunnel, and this tunnel took them to a familiar room...
Garland was inside. Praying. He tells the Warriors what his evil plan is (which is to destroy the universe by having it collapse into itself using his time loop). The Warriors fight him.
...and in Viridia's first turn, she double critical'd.
Now, we introduced a homebrew rule that is quite common early in the campaign. Basically, if you score a critical hit, roll again. If THAT's also another 20, then it's called a double critical, and the target is automatically dead.
Yeah...
Sure, the chances are very low, as noted by the fact that NOBODY got a double critical hit for pretty much the entire campaign... but on the battle against the Warrior's arch nemesis!?
ARGH.
So, yeah, Garland's body exploded pretty much.
BUT... suddenly, the Warriors hear the voice of the Four Fiends.
Basically, they reveal that Garland was a pawn of theirs and not the other way around! They're the ones who wanted to destroy the universe!
They take Garland back to the present with them. The Chaos Shrine starts to shake, and the crystals transport the Warriors back to the present.
In the present, the Warriors see a gigantic Warship flying away from the destroyed remains of Cornelia.
Week 12: Siege on the Warship
Present Warriors: Everyone
Party Level: 15
The Warriors check out the destroyed remains of Cornelia. It's pretty much in shambles, but everyone important is still alive.
King Leo begs the Warriors to stop the Warship... and they do so by crashing their own onto it!
OK, they didn't crash it on their own, they were actually shot down. But in turn, they crashed on the Warship.
As soon as they get out of the ship, the future Balor steps out and confronts them. Then he gets raped again.
Travelling through the ship, killing the demons and tieflings, they finally find a large room with a black crystal in it.
In there, the four fiends confront them all at once.
The next thing that commences is the longest, most brutal battle in the entire campaign.
Brutal because of how long it took to get stuff done.
And none of the Warriors even died. --;
And so, the Warriors continued on and confronted Garland again... he tells them that his transformation is almost complete. He begs the Warriors to go away, and then he disappears.
Back at Cornelia, Matoya reveals that Garland is in the Sunken Tower, in the middle of the Ocean. Everyone cheers for the Warriors, because they are their last hopes, of course.
